I know I tweeted about this but I think it deserves a second mention.
iPhone 5 pre-orders supposedly begin at 12am PST on September, 14th. As mentioned in the linked Macrumors article, Apple has had difficulty maintaining their ordering system under load in the past. This means that developers with apps in the App store need to fight along with everybody else to try and get a phone on the day they ship.
I realize that Apple doesn't do stuff like this but it would be great if paid developers with shipped apps were able to preorder 1 phone the day before general preorders begin. I don't even want the phone early I just want to know I've got one on the first day they are available for app testing.
I guess tonight is going to be a late night.
